![]() Porsche's new GT3 Cup S Based on the road-going GT3 RS, the new GT3 Cup S gets a 20 horsepower boost over the Mobi11 Supercup and the international Carrera Cup cars, using the same 3.6-liter boxer engine. With the increase, the Cup S car will have 440hp at 8,000rpm. Unlike the GT3 Cup, the body of the Cup S is not based on the road-going GT3 but on the GT3 RS. Because of the wider wheel arches, much larger wheels can be mounted. The front rims measure 10.5 inches wide with 12 inch wheels at the rear. The front-splitter is adjustable and generates more downforce. The rear-wing is not only wider but higher than the Cup car, providing more downforce at the rear. The new GT3 Cup S costs 250,000 Euros and is scheduled for delivery in April. If you've got a 2007 Cup car, Porsche will offer a kit to upgrade it to the Cup S car. |
