![]() A gas explosion in the paint shop of Stuttgart, the primary assembly facility in Zuffenhausen, has delayed production of Porsche's 911 for two to three days. The gas escaped from an oven used as part of the vehicle paint drying process. Two employees were taken to the hospital but were later released. Daily production of the 911 is approximately 160 cars. Since the body shell assembly, upholstery and engine assembly at the Zuffenhausen factory have not been affected, production of the Cayenne in the Leipzig factory and production of the models in the Boxster series by the Finnish Partner Valmet can go ahead as planned. |
