Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland proves exciting

Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland The first race of the Porsche-only series proved to be a gripping affair, as René Rast and Chris Mamerow, both of Germany, played tag all race long. Mamerow pulled alongside Rast five times but could never get past him. Rast won with Mamerow just two-tenths of a second behind.

This is the series second season and if the first event at the Hockenheimring is any indication, competition should be fierce. A field devoted to Porsche Cup cars means the hardware is nearly equal. Skill and a driver’s willingness to take some chances may prove fruitful in the winners circle.
