Porsche Cayenne HybridPorsche recently announced that by the end of this decade, a Cayenne Hybrid will be available for environmentally conscience consumers.

Based on the V6 Cayenne, the Cayenne Hybrid will use what Porsche is calling a parallel full hybrid. Instead of branching or splitting the gasoline and electric engines, the electric engine will drop between the V6 and the transmission.

This in-line layout adapts well to the existing Cayenne platform without hindering luggage space or restricting it's all-wheel drive capabilities.

One being especially important, that less than one-tenth of 1 per cent of exhaust emissions in Germany come from Porsche's cars. Automobiles in general contribute less than 12 per cent of all exhaust emissions in Germany.
